“No. The only people saying anything about it are the bloggers and podcasts on YouTube. The main media, NBC, ABC, CBS, CNN, those guys are not touching any of the scenes with a 10-foot pole. I guess they’re just ignoring it. That’s the only thing I can say they’re doing. It sounds like, and it seems like, we’re going right on backwards. You know this man that’s in the White House now, all he has done is wake up a sleeping giant. Once Obama became president, they all came out of the closet and were like, no, that better not happen again.”
“There’s not enough media profile on it. There aren’t enough authorities in position to emphasize the wrongdoing of anybody when it comes to lynching anybody. I’m not just going to put it on the Black community. However, the Black community is being targeted right now, but it’s a door opener for anybody. We need to address the issue now before it gets worse. It isn’t going to just take politics. It isn’t just going to take those in media. It’s going to take those in authority, those in position, and us as a whole to come together to fight for the right.”
“I’ll tell you, there’s not enough emphasis focused on the lynchings of Black people in America. You know why? Because a lot of these jobs, I know from experience. I worked at the Union Gospel Mission in the warehouse, and the gospel in front of people, but behind the doors, it’s different. And they had hung nine men on ropes on the highways when I was working there, and they don’t believe there’s enough emphasis. There’s not enough emphasis. There’s not.”

So, no, there’s not enough emphasis. I happen to know Keefe D, and they convicted him yesterday, and they investigated all of that. So, put that same energy into what’s going on with these lynchings, and let’s get to the bottom of that.”
“No. For Blacks, we are still not being included as a citizen or a human. They’re still treating us like animals, and they need to know that. For me, it was strange. I thought I was privileged because we’re over here in the North. But when you raise a son and they come up in the area, you realize you’ve got to tell them that you’re really not free, and they’re not going to give you the stuff that they’re promising that they’re going to give you.”
